Explore the Canadian Gulf Islands, San Juan Islands, and the open waters of the Georgia Strait as we search for Biggs killer whales, humpback whales, seals, sea lions, harbour porpoise, and other incredible marine species in their natural habitat. Our Vancouver whale watching experience is designed for comfort, photography, and unbeatable viewing. You’ll cruise through scenic channels, secluded coves, and breathtaking coastlines while surrounded by world-class ocean and island scenery. Every tour is guided by certified captains and knowledgeable naturalists who share fascinating insight into local wildlife and marine ecosystems. Trips last approximately 3 to 5 hours, with each voyage completely unique based on wildlife movements, weather, and sea conditions. Our Boats
Our Zodiac-style vessels are designed for comfort, safety, stability, and excellent wildlife viewing. Their open layout provides clear sightlines, while onboard amenities (including a marine bathroom) ensure comfort throughout the trip. Getting Here
White Rock Sea Tours is situated at the Crescent Beach Marina in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Crescent Beach is a picturesque and tranquil location known for its natural beauty and serene atmosphere.
From Vancouver International Airport (YVR)
- Take Sea‑to‑Sky Highway (BC‑99) north → Exit 19 (King George Blvd) → follow King George Blvd → turn left onto Crescent Road (signs for Crescent Beach).
From Downtown Vancouver
- BC‑99 South → Exit 19 (King George Blvd) → same as above.
From Surrey City Centre
- Take King George Blvd east → turn right onto Crescent Road.
Using a Rideshare
- Request a ride to “Crescent Beach Marina” or the exact address. Most drivers know the area; you’ll be dropped off right at the dock.
Walking (if you’re staying nearby)
If you’re lodging in the Crescent Beach neighbourhood, the marina is typically within a 5‑minute walk from most local accommodations. Follow the signs toward “Crescent Beach Marina” – the path is well‑marked and mostly level.
What to Know Before Sailing
We provide life jackets and survival floatation suits, which provide warmth and floatation. Guests should wear layered clothing. Depending on the time of year and weather, we suggest a wool/fleece sweater, gloves, toque (knit cap), waterproof footwear if windy or wet, rain jacket and pants if you have them, sunglasses, money if able to stop for a break, snack, water, camera, a small bag, a smile, and lots of enthusiasm for adventure!
Guidelines
Due to the nature of the sea, we recommend consulting your doctor should you have any health issues. Inform the captain of any concerns prior to boarding and/or anytime throughout your trip. Call us anytime with any questions or to seek clarification. Guests required complete a waiver during booking.
As seating is limited on our adventure type boats, all seats are the regular price. Our services are non-refundable. Credit can be issued if given sufficient notice to fill seats.
Refunds are processed on a case by case basis. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Whale Sighting Guarantee
With an excellent sighting success rate, we guarantee that you will see whales, marine mammals, and breathtaking scenery, or we’ll invite you back on a future trip! Good for life! We are members of the Pacific Whale Watch Association, a large network of whale watching tour operators and ecotourism businesses committed to education, conservation, and responsible whale watching. Our network is in constant contact, keeping each other updated on all whale sightings in the Salish Sea. Sightings are guaranteed from April to October, and likely from November to March.
